What is an all-inclusive wedding venue?

An all inclusive wedding venue will offer a range of services and amenities that are built into the venue fee. It will be important that the venue provide a list of these services so that you can understand what’s missing. Whatever you want that isn’t included will be an additional cost for you. 

  1. Catering

    Whether the venue offers in-house catering or choice from an exclusive list, be sure the menu quoted has all that you need (real place setting, linens, staff, cake cutting, appetizers, salad, bread, two sides, two entrees, tea, water) and that you’re paying the caterer directly. Otherwise, you may find yourself surprised by unexpected upcharges.

  2. Bar Service

    Some venues will allow you to bring in your own alcohol. This is a huge savings and a plus for dry weddings since there is no bar fee. Other venues have in-house bar service, often coming with minimums that must be met. 

  3. Wedding Planner

    Few venues include help from the day you book right up to wedding day so brides often feel the need to hire a wedding planner. The best venues will include this service. Others might offer “Day Of” or “Venue Only” services which protect the venue, but aren’t likely to be enough for a bride who is working full time and wanting reassurance that she’s staying on track.

  4. DJ Package

    Choosing a venue that includes the DJ is a plus because they’re familiar with the venue and have a proven track record. To avoid upcharges, be sure that the ceremony, social hour, reception and up lighting are included.

  5. Arrival Times

    As a bride, you’ll want to arrive early to begin hair and makeup. Some venues will include this early arrival and others will have an added cost.

  6. Bride and Groom Suites

    Having spaces for getting ready, for entertaining your bridal party and for photos is a must in order to set the stage for a relaxing day.

  7. Decor and Rentals

    A venue that includes decor items will be a blessing, saving you time, money and allowing family and friends to socialize instead of working. Be sure to ask if there’s a fee for using the decor.

  8. Ceremony and Reception Spaces

    All-inclusive venues may have multiple indoor and outdoor spaces available for your ceremony and reception, meaning the beautiful spaces are ready for you without requiring much else. Be sure to confirm that there is not a ceremony site fee.

  9. Photo Locations

    Part of providing an all-inclusive service is offering easy to access locations to capture the romantic photos you’ll treasure for years to come. Be sure the venue is gorgeous on its own without requiring more investment on your part.

  10. Extra Fees

    The best all-inclusive venues won’t have extra fees but be cautious and ask about these:  Ceremony site fee, Room flip fee, Outside vendor fee, Food and beverage minimums, etc.
